Bak Kut Teh


Bak Kut Teh is a Chinese soup popularly served in Malaysia. When we talk about Bak Kut Teh sure will relate it to Klang. This is because Klang is widely believed to be the birthplace of Bak Kut Teh and there is lots of famous Bak Kut Teh stalls found in Klang.


Bak Kut Teh is usually served with pork, varieties of mushroom, lettuce, and pieces of dried tofu. Sometimes, you may serve with youtiao (strips of fried dough, in cantonese “Yau Char Kuey”) also. It is a flexible recipe that depends on the creativity of the chef.


If you are lazy go to a far place like Klang to eating the Bak Kut Teh, and then you may have it somewhere at Kuala Lumpur. Even if the herbal soup and cooking method can’t comparable as Klang Bak Kut Teh. But it definitely helps you to save much petrol money.

Guess what! I had a delicious “Klang Bak Kut Teh” at Sri Petaling, Selangor last few days. The stall’s signboard shown with the title “Klang Bak The”. See…..i have told that you can enjoy the famous Klang Bak Kut Teh everywhere no matter where you are! But if you really crazy about Bak Kut Teh; the best flavor can be found at the origin place – Klang.

Look for me if you came to Klang for Bak Ku Teh ...
But as a person who stay in Klang, I seldom eat.
